Came to know about a technique called Short Selling… As far as I understand, it is borrowing stocks from the broker and selling to someone and waiting for the stock to lose price. So that it can be acquired again at lower price?
Can someone throw more light on short selling? Is it possible to do short selling… if allowed, What technics are relevant? How to get started with short selling?

Short selling is usually available in western markets like the US. In Indian markets, you can do short selling only on intraday. That is you can sell the stocks first and need to compulsorily buy the stocks 20 mins before the market closes, else the broker would buy it back on your behalf.
You can build a Short only strategy by select position type as short in create strategy page using candle timeframes usually lower than 30mins. And while creating the portfolio, select order types as intraday.
This would execute only short intraday orders.
